This place is awesome! Really unique and delicious food & drinks, awesome decor (old coffee grinders, leather & aluminum chairs, wood- kinda steampunk-ish!) If you’re ever in Chino Hills, it’s definitely worth a visit! They have cold-brewed Turkish coffee and a wonderful variety of pastries. The s’mores cookies are to die for, and the ice cream is delicious (seems to be home-made but not sure). For the adventurous, try the Guava and Goat Cheese or Horchata with rice ice creams. If you want to stay on the safer side, the Vanilla Bean is delicious too!
keepcalmkissgirls asked: hi so im looking into applying to pitzer. could you tell me more about it??
Pitzer is a great school, glad to hear you’re considering it! There is a lot of focus on our 5 core values- Social Responsibility, Intercultural Understanding, Interdisciplinary Learning, Student Engagement, and Environmental Sustainability. Social justice and equal rights are a big deal, and students have many ways to get involved in areas of interest through student groups, events, etc. We have cool majors like Environmental Analysis, Gender and Feminist Studies, American Studies, International/Intercultural Studies, etc. Creativity is encouraged, and many students create their own majors. You can even apply to create art on the school buildings- there are many murals and paintings all over campus on the walls! Claremont as a whole, and Pitzer especially, emphasize local vendors, fair trade, organic food, and are very eco-friendly. Of course, So Cal is a great area and downtown LA, the beach, mountains, and the desert are all less than an hour away. Pitzer also offers many great Study Abroad opportunities. There’s a lot more to find out, so I encourage you to check out the website (www.pitzer.edu) and come visit!
It’s amazing how something as simple as a class on forward bend (Parivrtta Paschimottanasana, etc) can be so intense. I’m thankful for my amazing yoga teacher, who pushes me farther than I think I can go, to my absolute limit but not past it. She helps me find strength I never knew I had.
